Minnesota is unique in its approach to regulating assisted-living settings. Most states require these settings to offer the same level of care and services. In essence, if you've seen one assisted-living community, you've seen them all (of course, not comparing them by their physical appearance). In Minnesota, we are different in that each community is allowed the opportunity to offer a variety of services that we feel are important to our customers. What this means is that no two assisted living communities are exactly the same. From a consumer's standpoint, this is a good thing, as there are many options to choose from. With so many choices, though, it is important that you check out all your available options to determine which setting is the best "fit" for you.
We know that cost can be a determining factor in your decision-making process (in many instances cost is the determining factor). To help we've developed a tool to aid you in making a true side-by-side comparison of the various options available.
